It's an iPhone 5 on Verizon. I was trying to install a software update, and it froze, so I restarted it. Now it can't find the Verizon signal. It's been "searching" for the past hour. I've tried resetting my network settings, I've removed and re-installed the SIM card, I've restarted the phone, but nothing is working. Anybody know what's going on?

Try entering and exiting airplane mode.

Sometimes parts of the network go. I'd visit the Verizon store if it doesn't fix itself in time.

Quite probable. If it's that it may've killed your antenna. Demand Verizon replaces it.

Plug it into itunes, get a local backup, then do a full restore from that backup, then a full sync. This fixes 99.9% of wierd issues. The last .01% are legit hardware issues.

Sounds like you were updating to iOS8.
The solution is to get itunes installed on a PC or Mac, connect your phone to that PC or Mac and do the update that way.
